The role our subconscious mind seems to play in fulfilling our prayers
Though we know what our subconscious mind does, the fact is — it also does some of such things, nobody seems to be aware of.
Though many people have experienced that whenever they find that there is nobody who may help them; they pray to God and, somehow, their prayers get fulfilled, the fact is — it is wrong to think that the entity known as God may have helped them at such occasions.
The belief that God may be helping us when we are in some trouble but nobody may be prepared to help us, has trickled down from the days when everybody thought that Earth may be the only habitable planet created by God though, now, we know — it is not, at all, so.
It could have been possible only if Earth would have been the only habitable planet.
Such people shall stop thinking that God may be helping them whenever they seek His help the way I have stopped thinking so — even though I, too, had thought that God may have helped me at such occasion when I had sought His help at the following occasion.
THE OCCASION WHEN I HAD SOUGHT THE HELP OF GOD
In the year 1989, the Singhania group of Kanpur (an industrial town close to the city where I live) had also not only started manufacturing scooters just like our factory, it had even advertised some vacancies.
Just like many other disgruntled employees of our company — I also responded against this advertisement.
Though I don’t know why — when I reached Kanpur for the interview, I chose to go to the venue of the interview by public conveyance instead of hiring a cab, which dropped me at a place a few kilometers away from the venue.
Since I could not find any such cab which could have taken me to this venue — I became nervous because it looked as though I would not be able to reach such venue by the time assigned to me for the interview.
Though my feet were trembling — to my great surprise, a person approached me and asked me whether he could be of any help.
When I told him about my problem — he offered to take me to the venue of the interview on his scooter.
On the way, when I asked him — how he happened to pass through the place where I was waiting for a cab; he told me that though he lived far away from that place; he used to come there only on weekends to collect payments of the goods supplied by him to his customers, but on that day some unknown soul woke him up and told him to reach this place to help somebody who is in trouble.
Don’t you think — it could have not been possible unless my soul should have sent out an SOS message to his soul?
What is true about what happened in my life, is equally true even in the case described by Dr Joseph Murphy in his book “The Power of Your Subconscious Mind”, on the pages 75 and 76 of the book.
THE INCIDENT DESCRIBED BY DR MURPHY IN HIS BOOK
For your reference, I am reproducing this incident here, verbatim — so that you may know that only his subconscious mind should have referred his prayers to his soul which, in turn, should have transmitted his prayers to the soul of his sister who lived thousands of kilometers away from America.
When you affirm health, harmony, and peace for yourself or another, and when you realize these are universal principles of your own being, you rearrange the negative patterns of your subconscious mind, based on your faith and understanding of that which you affirm.
I chose to use this method when my sister was about to be operated for the removal of gallstones in a hospital in England. Her diagnosis was based on the usual hospital tests and X-ray procedures. She asked me to pray for her recovery. I was over six thousand miles away, but this did not disturb me. There is no time or space in the mind principle. Infinite mind or intelligence is present in its entirety at every point simultaneously.
Several times in a day I withdrew all thought from the contemplation of my sister’s symptoms and from the corporeal personality altogether. Calmly and comfortably, I affirmed as follows:
“This prayer is for my sister Catherine. She is relaxed and at peace, poised, balanced, serene, and calm. The healing intelligence of her subconscious mind that created her body is now transforming every cell, nerve, tissue, muscle, and bone of her being according to the perfect pattern of all organs lodged in her subconscious mind. Silently, quietly, all distorted thought patterns in her subconscious mind are removed and dissolved, and the vitality, wholeness, and beauty of the life principle are made manifest in every atom of her being. She is now open and receptive to the healing currents that are flowing through her like a river, restoring her to perfect health, harmony and peace. All distortions and ugly images are now washed away by the infinite ocean of love and peace flowing through her, and it is so.”
At the end of two weeks, my sister had another examination. Her X-rays were negative. Her doctor admitted that she showed remarkable healing and called off the scheduled surgery.
Just think, how such surgery could have been called off, that too — when his sister lived in a country so far away from his country?
Though it is true that when we are in deep sleep during the night, our subconscious mind starts rejuvenating our internal organs so that they may become fit to deal with the hassles of the next day — so far as I know “The gallstones may be removed only surgically”.
But if we assume that Dr Murphy may not be bluffing, her subconscious mind should have been able to remove even the gallstones.
Nonetheless, it could have become possible only if the way, we are able to transmit our messages across various continents using the internet — our souls may be also able to transmit such messages to the souls of other persons employing some type of internet, akin to our internet — using some App of the same type as is used by us.
THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND OF HIS SISTER COULD HAVE NOT TAKEN THE CUDGELS IN ITS HANDS UNLESS DR MURPHY’S SOUL SHOULD HAVE TRANSMITTED HIS PRAYERS TO HER SOUL.
I am going to tell — why.
Is it not true that the Earth is not even as big as a tiny speck as compared to the size of the observable universe, as shown in the following picture?
Also, is it also not true that though our galaxy, itself, has about 100 to 400 billion stars of different sizes; there are, altogether, around two trillion galaxies of different sizes in the visible universe?1
If we assume that on an average, each galaxy may have around 300 billion stars and each star may have only one habitable planet as in the case of our star — the Sun; there have to be as many as 300 billion times two trillion habitable planets in the visible universe?
Further, is it not true that about 7000 languages are spoken on our planet — the Earth?
So does it not look, well nigh, impossible for even the Earth-centric God to understand the prayers rendered in as many as 7000 languages and even for all other such Gods supposed to exist on all other Earth-like planets of the universe?
AS SUCH, DOES IT NOT GIVE US A HINT THAT INSTEAD OF SO MANY GODS PROCESSING OUR PRAYERS — FIRST OF ALL, OUR SUBCONSCIOUS MIND MAY BE TRYING TO FULFILL OUR PRAYERS AND IF IT MAY NOT BE POSSIBLE FOR IT TO FULFILL THEM; IT MAY BE PASSING ON THEM TO OUR SOUL AND IF IT MAY NOT BE POSSIBLE EVEN FOR OUR SOUL TO FUFILL THEM; OUR SOUL MAY BE PASSING ON THEM TO SOME OTHER SOUL SUCH AS THE SOUL OF THE PERSON WHO HAD HELPED ME OR THE SOUL OF THE SISTER OF DR MURPHY TO FULFILL THEM?
